Nebraska Charting the LifeCourse Framework Ambassador Series Information and Application Applications

The Nebraska Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCDD) seeks to partner with people with disabilities and families to increase the use of Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) in Nebraska. We are offering a Nebraska CtLC Ambassador Training Series led by the LifeCourse Nexus at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, Center for Human Development. Interested applicants should review the following information and expectations.

What is an Ambassador Series?
The Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador Series offers training and conversation to help people:
- Deeply understand the key principles of the framework
- Think about how different CtLC tools can be used for different reasons
- Create space for reflection and creativity • Explore how to use the framework to strengthen Nebraska
- Enhance and broaden your understanding of each of the CtLC Framework Principles
- Build your confidence and capacity to share the CtLC Framework Principles with a variety of stakeholders and audiences
- Learn ways to use the Charting the LifeCourse principles for strategic thinking
The series is NOT:
- Training you to teach or train on a specific skill set or behavior through the lens of Charting the LifeCourse.
- A "train-the-trainer" (doesn't enable you to teach other Charting the LifeCourse trainers)
- Open to the public - this is for invited participants ONLY (do not share links etc.)
Only 15 people will be accepted into this training series. Additional opportunities will be offered in the future.
These individuals will reflect a variety of lived experiences with disability across the lifespan, as well as Nebraska's cultural and geographic diversity.
What is required of participants?
1. Watch 7 pre-recorded webinars lasting approximately 20-60 minutes each
2. Actively participate in 7 live virtual coaching calls from 10 – 11:30 am CST on the following days:
o April 18 Kick Off
o April 27 All Triangle
o May 11 Roles/3 buckets
o May 25 Trajectory
o June 8 supports star
o June 22 life domains
o July 11 Wrap up
3. Thoughtfully and thoroughly complete and submit 6 learning activities as well as complete related surveys within the required time frames. All participants of the Nebraska CtLC Ambassador Training Series will need the following technology:
o Computer/laptop with internet access
o Webcam & microphone
o Capacity to download/upload learning assignments
o Ability to print documents
What is my financial investment?
The standard fee for the Ambassador Series Course is $650.00. Through generous funding from the Nebraska Council on Developmental Disabilities, selected applicants will receive the Ambassador training free of charge.
